Retro Funny Commercials: John Cleese and COMPAQ

Back in the 90s, John Cleese, best known from the tv-show Fawty Tower and Monty Python (and Q in two of the James Bond movies), stared in a series of funny commercials from COMPAQ. Here, John and the CEO of COMPAQ argues about how to remember the spelling of the same company. COMPAQ is, as you probably know, a company focusing on computer hardware until it in 2003 was bought buy HP. Anyway, John suggest that the costumers can remember the name by the initials of Computer Often Make People Quite… While the head of COMPAQ suggests to remember it by a line of people containing a CO (Commanding Officer), an MP (Member of Parliament) and A Q (A Queue). But of couse Cleese prefers his own version, though it doesn’t make sense.
