John Cleese as Q from James Bond

John Cleese, also known as Q in the old James Bond movies, stared in some funny commercials for Schweppes back in the 90s. He walks around in an old house and talks about how violence shouldn’t be used commercials, while characters from the James Bond movies try to kill him. None of them succeed, though. They all end up hurting themselves, while John Cleese doesn’t notice anything.

I’m a bit confused. Does James Bond want his Martini with Schweppes Tonic? Anyway, John suggests they should make a less violent Bond (movie). Not that I don’t get the irony, but where would the fun be in that? It would be cool if John actually went back to the movies again as Bond’s deer friend, Q. Anyway, it is still a funny commercial with one of my favourite actors.

I don’t think Cleese was Q except in like 2 of the movies, the ones right after the original Q retired and before his character got cut from the Daniel Craig films.

No way!! They shouldn’t change the Bond movies, they’re cheesy and predictable but then what isn’t nowadays?
I love them, and they’re clearly popular!
